Stay tuned for a trail condition update. Right now we have snow covered with ice with an inch or two of snow on top.
Tonight: Things start off quiet tonight with cloudy skies but we start to see the first portions of a storm system move in around 2 am Thursday morning. This starts in the Lower Peninsula as scattered snow, sleet and freezing drizzle which could give us slick morning commutes. Overnight lows range from the low teens to upper 20s with winds out of the East/Northeast at 5-10 mph.
Tomorrow: We have a messy and sloppy system moving in Thursday. Your morning is looking at scattered snow for the U.P. and snow/sleet/freezing drizzle for the L.P. with the precipitation increasing for the afternoon and evening. The Lower Peninsula is mainly looking at sleet, freezing rain and rain while the U.P. sees heavy to moderate snow and mixed showers. It isn’t going to be a widespread constant system but more of a few waves of moisture. Regardless we will have slick roads and tough commutes at times. Highs range from the mid 20s to mid 40s.
Friday & The Weekend: Lake effect takes over for your Friday with gusty winds and cooler temps. Highs will be in the low teens to mid 20s. Some lake effect out there for your with highs in the mid teens to mid 20s. Sunday starts quiet but some light snow moves through the Lower Peninsula in the evening and nighttime hours. Highs will be in the low 20s to low 30s.
Next Week: Scattered snow starts off your morning on Monday but skies clear out for the afternoon and evening. Temps reach the low 20s to low 30s.
