Groomers are not running and trails are in poor condition.
TV 9 & 10 forecast:
Today: Today is looking cloudy with some lake effect snow showers at times. Some of them could be heavier at times but overall most of the snow showers today will be lighter lake effect snow. A few inches of accumulation could be expected for the Northwest corner of the Lower Peninsula. Highs today will be in the lower to upper 30s with winds out of the Northwest at 10-20mph. Any additional accumulations today should be around an inch.
Tonight: Lake effect snow will continue to setup across Northern Michigan tonight. We will have overnight lows in the 20s with winds out of the Northwest at 5-15mph. We could have a trace to 2″ of accumulation in some areas as the lake effect starts to setup.
Friday: Lake effect snow showers continue Friday with highs in the upper 20s to mid 30s. Winds will be a bit breezy out of the Northwest.
Your Weekend: Cold air will continue to filter in this weekend and lake effect snow showers will be the main forecast concern. Lake effect snow showers continue Saturday with highs in the mid 20s to mid 30s. Sunday is looking cloudy with lake effect snow showers and highs will be in the low 20s to low 30s.
Next Week: Monday will bring in some peeks of sunshine in spots but isolated lake effect could linger near the immediate lake shores. Highs will be in the upper teens to mid 20s. Tuesday is looking cloudy and snowy as a clipper system will move in from the Northwest. Highs will be in the upper 20s to mid 30s. Wednesday is looking snowy as well as lake effect sets back up. Highs will be in the low 20s to low 30s.
