TV 9 & 10 weather conditions:
Today: Scattered snow showers last through the day bringing around 1-3″ for the Lower Peninsula and trace to 1″ in the Eastern U.P. by tonight. Roads are slick in spots so you’ll need to take your time speeding up and slowing down. Highs are in the upper 20s to mid 30s with variable winds at 5-10 mph.
Tonight: Lake effect snow begins to develop tonight, bringing another 1-3″ for portions of the Northwest Lower and Eastern U.P.. Winds are out of the Southwest/West at 5-10 mph with low in the mid teens to mid 20s.
Wednesday – Friday: Colder air moves into the region on Wednesday with highs in the low 20s to low 30s. Lake effect snow picks up, becoming heavier in the evening for those along the lake shore up through the Tip of the Mitt and Eastern U.P.. Thursday is the coldest day in this stretch with highs in the mid teens to low 20s. Lake effect snow continues through the day with cloudy to mostly cloudy skies. Drier air moves in Friday which will limit the amount of lake effect we see and give most partly sunny skies. Highs are in the mid teens to mid 20s.
The Weekend & Monday: Saturday is mostly to partly sunny with a few flurries during the day. Highs are a little warmer, reaching the lower to upper 20s. Clouds move back in for Sunday along with scattered snow showers. Highs are in the mid 20s to mid 30s. Monday is cloudy with a chance for snow and mixed showers with highs in the mid 20s to mid 30s.
