Trails are not being groomed and are reported in fair condition. We only received three inches from this latest storm and under that, there is ice. Maybe conditions will improve next week – Here’s the latest forecast from TV 9 & 10…
Tonight: Expect clouds with some light snow possible and winds will be out of the Northwest at 10-20mph. This could generate some lake effect snow but overall it won’t be anything to terrible. Snow will continue to blow and drift around with overnight lows in the upper single digits to low 20s.
Friday & Weekend: Expect to see partly to mostly cloudy skies with some light snow. Highs are going to be in the low 20s to low 30s and winds will taper off as the day moves on. Saturday is looking to be partly to mostly cloudy with highs in the mid 30s to mid 40s. Sunday is looking to be cloudy with a clipper system arriving later in the morning. This clipper will provide snow for the U.P. and a bit of snow and mix in the Northern L.P. The Central L.P. will see mixed showers and some rain through the day. Highs are going to range from the mid 20s to low 40s.
Next Week: Another clipper will move in to start the week. Snow and some gusty winds will be possible Monday with highs in the low 20s to mid 40s. Tuesday will be cloudy with a chance for some light snow. Highs will be in the mid 20s to mid 30s. Wednesday is looking iffy with a chance for a system to move into Northern Michigan out of the South. Right now it is just grazing Northern Michigan and moving East but we will watch this system closely.
