Snowmobile Conditions – 1/14 – Groomers are running, there is lots of snow, trails are in very good condition and it’s going to warm up enough that you should be able to get a comfortable ride.

Light to moderate lake effect continues for areas of the Northern L.P. and closer to Lake Michigan in the Central L.P. Temperatures this morning are ranging from -1 to 8 degrees with gusty West/Southwest winds at 12-25mph. Gusts will reach 30-35mph at times this morning causing many roads to drift in along with significantly reduced visibility. Wind chills this morning are ranging from -6 to -23 degrees. Today will be a windy day with a touch of snow for areas closer to Lake Michigan this morning but skies will improve and turn mostly to partly sunny this afternoon. Winds will be out of the West/Southwest at 10-20mph with gusts around 30mph at times which will drift and blow snow all day. Highs today will be around 11 to 20 degrees with wind chills in the single digits. Tonight will be windy with winds out of the South at 10-20mph so more blowing and drifting roads and overnight lows will be much warmer! You will see lows bottom out around 9 to 18 degrees before they start to warm up heading into tomorrow morning. Wind chills will still be rather cold but they will improve tomorrow. Skies will be mostly cloudy with a chance of a few flurries.
Thursday will be a little breezy to start and remain a bit breezy as snow showers move in for the afternoon and evening hours. Highs will be in the lower to upper 20s (Average!). Friday will be mostly sunny to partly sunny with highs in the low teens to low 20s. Saturday will be cloudy with a few light snow showers in the afternoon and evening hours. Sunday will be mostly to partly sunny across Northern Michigan with highs in the mid teens to low 20s. Monday will be partly to mostly cloudy with a few isolated snow showers. Highs will be in the mid teens to low 20s. Tuesday will be partly cloudy with highs in the mid teens to mid 20s.
