Snowmobile conditions 12/17/13 – Groomers started panning yesterday and expected to have about 2 inches of base by the time they are done. We didn’t get as much accumulation as counties north of us, which is why I haven’t updated again until now. The northwest portion of the county received more snow, as is usual. Groomer driver Keith reported that he expected trails to be in poor to fair shape since the snow is light and powdery.
The ten day weather forecast, although as we all know it can change with a moment’s notice, is for continuing cold temperatures and snow showers. Though the forecast in northern Michigan can always change, the one thing you can be sure of, is there is plenty to do in northern Michigan in the winter! If the weather isn’t perfect, head to town to do some shopping or get a meal! Grayling is growing and filled with a number of shops and dining options ranging from sandwiches or pizza to bbq, burgers and more. Spend the day getting to know Grayling and in no time, the trails will once again be ready for you!
Grayling and all of northern Michigan are an outdoor lovers dream! Come on up!
