Elections Announcement – Three board seats Rich Filley, Rob Tomlinson, and Bill Weaver will be up for election at the General Membership meeting January 6, 2011. If, you would like to nominate someone for any of these seats mail that information to AVSA, PO Box 1176, Grayling, MI 49738 or in person prior to the December 2, 2010 General Membership Meeting.
General Membership Meetings– Our next General Membership Meeting will be on Thursday, December 2nd at the Ramada Inn of Grayling starting at 7: pm. Our meetings are open to anyone who wishes to attend.
Trail maintenance – Crews were back out on the trails in early November cleaning up downed trees after two days of high winds in northern Michigan. Over 150 trees were knocked down on the trails by wind gusts of up to 70 miles an hour. The clean up did delay some other finishing trail work, but according to Keith the trails and grooming equipment are now ready for snow.
Grant Agreement – We have received our 2010-2011 signed Grant Agreement from the DNRE. What does this mean? The AVSA will be reimbursed for maintaining and grooming the 87 miles of trails in our area of responsibility.
Membership Form – Please return your completed 2010-2011 Membership form and dues prior to December 1, 2010. As in years past Family Memberships are $20 and Business Sponsors are $50. If you need a membership form go to www.GoSledGrayling.org
