XC Ski Conditions 2/27/19.
This is more like the winters I remember! We have lots of snow, it continues to fall, and skiing will be fabulous!
TV 9 & 10 forecast:
Today: Light to moderate snow showers are falling across Northern Michigan, with the heaviest South of M-32. Many locations will see an additional 1-2? by this afternoon. Snow will start to break up by mid to late afternoon, switching over to lake effect snow. Highs range from the mid teens to mid 20s, with winds out of the Southeast at 5-10mph. Overall, things will be snowy and roads will be slick. We still have sheets of ice under this light and fluffy snow. Please take your time!
Tonight: Lake effect snow comes to an end before midnight, and skies become partly to mostly cloudy. Overnight lows range from 4 to 14 degrees with light winds.
Thursday – Friday: Conditions are looking better for Thursday, thanks to mostly to partly sunny skies. Highs are between the low 20s to low 30s. Friday starts off decent with some peeks of sun, but skies will turn mostly cloudy in the afternoon and evening. Highs range between the mid 20s to low 30s.
Your Weekend: Scattered snow showers impact your Saturday, but it won’t add up to much. Highs stay in the mid 20s to mid 30s. Colder air filters in on Sunday, creating lake effect snow showers. Highs drop into the low to upper teens.
Next Week: Bitter cold air lasts for your Monday and Tuesday, along with lake effect snow showers for both days. Highs are in the teens to low 20s.
