TV 9 & 10 weather forecast:
Today: Today will bring in snow and mixed showers for areas of Northern Michigan. Snow and wintry mix will take over for the Central Lower later this afternoon and evening. The Northern Lower will see snow and some isolated mix this afternoon and evening. This could lead to slick roads for the evening commutes. Snow takes over for the Straits and U.P. Accumulations will be minor throughout the day but things could be a bit slick so keep that in mind. Highs will be in the mid 20s to mid 30s with winds out of the East/Southeast at 8-18 mph.
Tonight: Snow continues for the U.P. and Tip of the Mitt tonight which will be heavy at times. The Lower Peninsula sees some light snow in spots and possible drizzle at times. The snow begins to add up, with about 3-6? in areas of the U.P. and Tip of the Mitt by midnight while accumulations will be minor for the Lower Peninsula but roads could be very slick. Areas in Luce county could see isolated higher amounts up to 8?. Overnight lows range from the upper teens to low 30s with winds out of the Southwest at 8-18 mph.
Tomorrow: Snow comes to an end early Thursday morning but some isolated lake effect snow can’t be ruled out for the Northern Lower and Eastern U.P. for the afternoon and evening. Highs will be in the lower to upper 30s.
Friday & The Weekend: We see mostly to partly sunny skies Friday with highs in the lower to upper 30s. Scattered rain, mix and snow moves in for your Saturday as highs reach the low 30s to low 40s. This could lead to some slick roads in areas. Sunday brings in a large winter storm for Northern Michigan. Expect gusty winds, rain, mix and snow. Slick roads, power outages and reduced visibilities will be a concern to end the weekend. Temps will be in the low 30s to low 40s.
Next Week: Monday morning starts with some snow but nicer conditions return for the afternoon and evening. Highs will be in the mid teens to low 30s. Tuesday is looking cloudy with a small disturbance moving through bringing snow showers for all of Northern Michigan later in your day. Highs range from the low 20s to low 30s.
