XC Ski Conditions 1/6
Forbush Corner: Larry tilled all the trails yesterday and is out grooming up the East and West Trail Systems for skiing this morning. The Pines Loop will be groomed tomorrow morning. Dress warm and hope to see you this weekend at The Corner. This weekend is also Winter Trails Day in Michigan, so we are offering free ski and snow shoe rentals to get people out and enjoying winter.
Hanson Hills: All trails Groomed perfect with set track. Fat Bike Trail: Groomed this morning.
Hartwick Pines State Park: Groomed for classic and in good shape!
XC Ski Headquarters: The trails groomed up well yesterday with Ginsu snowcombed skating lanes that were ideal for good speed in these cooler conditions. The tracks were not set as deeply as we like due to the hard pack underneath, but Ginzu Dana will keep working on them this morning as well as re -grooming all the skating lanes. We have a 7 to 9 inch packed base and 12 to 15 inches in the woods. Skating conditions are excellent and classic conditions are very good.
