XC Ski Conditions 1/20
Forbush Corner: The thaw has been very slow up here. Trails are still in great shape with no loss of base. We will be open Friday through the weekend. High temps will be around 38 – 40 degrees F and lows will be around freezing. Expect spring like skiing – fast in the morning and slower in the afternoon.
Hanson Hills: Trails will continue to be closed today. We have made our final preparations for tomorrow’s Cote Dame Marie Ski Loppet Races. Trails are in good shape and will be all set for Racing in the morning. Thank you for being so patient this week.
XC Ski Headquarters: The grooming from Wednesday night resulted in extremely good skiing conditions yesterday. Tracks are firm and skating lanes are remarkably good, too. We will not groom today to continue the effort to preserve the snow we have, but conditions will still be very good considering the warmer, wetter weather. All 8 trails are open for both skating and classic skiing.
