XC Ski Headquarters: Thursday, March 20, 2014; It was a wet day yesterday, but the cooler temps and no sun helped preserve the snow pack. As of 8am we have received close to an inch of fresh snow and the snow continues to fall. Currently the snow pack is saturated in some low spots on the trails and grooming would make slush, so we will groom tomorrow morning after the cold temps we will get tonight.
Depth of packed snow ranges from 4 to 16 inches (24 inches in the Blizzard X-C Ski Park where we make snow). Depth of unpacked snow ranges from 6 to 18 inches. Fresh snow spring skiing conditions for classic and skate skiing prevail.
