Annual Trout Opener – Leaky Waders Fun Run – This part of Michigan is renowned for it’s fishing, trout fishing, to be more specific! No where is this more obvious than at the annual trout opener celebration at the Lovells Historical Society Museum. This year’s Annual Trout Opener will be held on April 27, 2013 with Michigan Bamboo Rod Makers Exhibit in the Lovells Historical Society’s fishing museum.
This day will be filled with fun activities, events and food! One of many popular events is the annual leaky waders fun run! Strap on your best pair of leaky waders and take the run with others on this 1K fun run. Cost, $20.
Leaky Waders 1K Fun Run $20 entry fee, complimentary Hot Dog Lunch. Local artists and crafters will be displaying their wares in the Lovells Township Hall, exhibit presented by Huron Pines in celebration of their 40th anniversary under the pavilion, 50/50 raffles, 10 a.m – 4 p.m. fun for the whole family. While there is no charge for this event *except the fun run*, donations are greatly appreciated. This is just one of many activities throughout the year relating to the quality fishing this area has to offer.
