Hanson Hills:  Trails are looking great! Groomer Jason is out this morning snowcombing skate lanes. All Trails groomed with set tracks. Preparation has begun for the Meijer State Games-Hanson Hills Classic. Race course has been tracked. We are looking at warmer temperatures for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, so we will most likely make final grooming preparations on Thursday (Tomorrow) for Sundays race course.

Race Time:
10:00 am Men and Women 15 second interval starts.
Course: Hilly terrain. Classical race with interval starts. Course
will have double set tracks.

XC Ski Headquarters: We received about an inch of fresh snow last night, and after the cool overnight temps, the trails will be in great shape today for skating and classic. Groomer George will start at dawn with snow combing the skating lanes and resetting tracks where needed on all 8 trails. We have a 10 to 12 inch base, with 16 to 20 inches of snow in the woods.

TV 9 & 10 weather forecast:
Tonight: You will see lake effect snow showers come to an end for all of us through the overnight hours. Winds will be much lighter tonight out of the Northwest/North at 5-15mph with overnight lows ranging from 7 to 16 degrees. Skies will end up mostly clear to partly cloudy by daybreak Thursday.

Thursday & Friday: Any lake effect snow that is lingering by daybreak will end through the day Thursday. Highs will be in the low 20s to low 30s with mostly to partly sunny skies. Friday is looking much warmer with mostly to partly sunny skies. Highs will be in the low 30s to low 40s.

The Weekend: Saturday is looking mostly to partly sunny with highs in the upper 30s to low 50s. Sunday will be mostly to partly sunny with highs in the lower to upper 40s.

Next Week: Skies will start off quiet but mostly cloudy conditions take over later in the afternoon and evening. Highs are looking warm with low 40s to low 50s. Tuesday will start with some morning rain, mix and snow showers. Skies will start to clear out a bit for the afternoon and evening. Highs will be in the upper 30s to upper 40s.  -Meteorologist Michael Stevens
