Annual Tractor & Engine Show
Mark your calendars for August 27, 28 & 29, as the Tractor Show revs up at Wellington Farm, USA. This is a great opportunity for the collectors and their fans to come out and see the wide variety of farm machinery, past and present. Don’t forget to be in the park when Del’s Steam Engine lets go with a whistle ~ it’s something to see. Plus, it’s fun to watch everyone’s surprise at how loud and impressive it is!
The Tractor Show is a special weekend that pays homage to the heart of the Farm. Without benefit of tractors, certainly farming would not have existed. You’ll get to see an antique steam engine and numerous types of tractors. Bring your tractor along! Each day at 3:00 p.m., experience the “Smallest Big Machinery Parade” in Michigan.
At the Farm you’ll enjoy a ride into the park accompanied by experienced interpreters who will narrate your tour. You can exit the shuttle once in the park and enjoy a walk through the historical buildings or down the nature trails. Shuttle service will be available to transport you back to the Visitors’ Center once your visit is complete. Be sure to take time to watch the Cedar Shingle Mill cutting shingles, the Grist Mill and Blacksmith Shop in operation, and visit the women in the Summer Kitchen.
The General Store with handmade toys, jams, jellies, antiques and gift items is open everyday 10-5. Take a piece of the Farm home with you. Be sure to pick up a copy of our new “Country Goodness” Cookbook, full of traditional 1932-era recipes. Fresh baked pies are a weekly favorite.
