Punkin Chunkin this Fall!

Punkin Chunkin – Saturday and Sunday, October 15 & 16 and 22 & 23 will be an exciting time at Wellington Farm near Grayling for those are the days that their monster trebuchet will throw pumpkins.  Wellington Farm, USA opens at 9:00 a.m. and the first test fire is scheduled for 10:00 a.m.  If all goes well, the trebuchet will throw pumpkins every hour on the hour throughout the day.  Price of admission is $8.00 for adults and $6.00 for seniors which is regular park admission.   For those people who want to shoot the trebuchet, ammunition will be available for purchase.

In addition to the operation of the monster trebuchet, all of the farm buildings will be open and some in operation, the farm’s shuttle will be running transporting visitors around the farm and cider and donuts will be available.  In addition, the farm has a large quantity of pumpkins and winter squash available for purchase.

Wellington Farm, USA is located at 6944 S. Military Road in Grayling.  The farm is easily accessed from either Exit 251 of I-75 or Exit 206 of US-127.  Further information can be obtained by calling 989 348 5187 during business hours or visiting the website at www.wellingtonfarmpark.org.
