It’s that time again! Punkin-Chunkin at Wellington Farm USA near Grayling will happen on October 16, 17, 23 and 24. Pumpkins fly every hour on the half hour beginning at 11:30. At new attraction at the living history farm this season is the Giant Punkin Smasher! Buy a pumpkin off the wagon, write or draw your troubles or concerns on it, then smash it into oblivion! Cider and donuts will be available all day long and the entire 60-acre living history museum will be open for the enjoyment of all visitors.
On the evenings of October 29, 30 and 31 Wellington Farm USA is offering Halloween Hayrides through the entire living history complex. There will be only two rides each evening with limited seating for each ride. The Farm is currently taking reservations for the Hayrides. Reservations can be made by calling 989 348 5187. Wellington Farm is currently open Wednesday through Saturday from 10 until 5. Sunday hours are 11 to 4.
Needless to say, the results of the Corona Virus have caused many changes to be made at the living history farm. Wellington Farm USA apologizes for any inconvenience the changes in programming has caused. As of yet, Wellington Farm USA has not been able to hire enough help or enlist enough volunteers to man all of the more than a dozen primary buildings. Wellington Farm USA is currently in need of volunteers to help the weekends of Punkin-Chunkin and for the Halloween Hayrides. Wellington Farm, USA is located at 6944 S. Military Road southwest of Grayling. The farm is easily accessed from either Exit 251 of I-75 or Exit 206 of US-127.
