Great Northern Art Explosion 2021

The Great Northern Art Explosion is a public art exhibition and contest organized by AuSable Artisan Village art center in Grayling, MI. The third annual Great Northern Art Explosion in downtown Grayling is set to begin again this August! From August 28 through September 12, 2021, visitors can stroll the streets, explore local businesses and enjoy 100 art pieces, large and small. 

In years past, visitors have been wowed by the immense talent offered by artists from many different cities. From painting to sculpture, wood to cloth, the art is limited only by the artists’ imagination. If you are interested in becoming a part of the art explosion or would rather just come and enjoy it, you are not to late. You can learn more about the Great Northern Art Explosion 2021 on the Ausable Artisan Village website. Key dates for artists include:

• July 15 – last day to register
• July 22- artists informed as to whether they are accepted
• July 23-30 – art goes up!
• August 28 – September 12 – exhibition ongoing
• September 12 – awards
• Artists must by at least 18 years of age. The cost to enter is $40.
