Full Moon Snowshoe Hikes – Hartwick Pines State Park will offer a Full Moon guided snowshoe hike on January 13, February 10, and March 10 at 7:30 p.m.
Bundle up and join a naturalist for a guided snowshoeing adventure. A winter moon lights the way as your group explores the woodland and beauty on snowshoes. This is a special opportunity to explore the night world at Hartwick Pines State Park.
Please call the visitor center at Hartwick Pines at 989-348-2537 or stop in at the Visitor Center (normally open daily 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the weekend although they are often there at other times) to sign up. Feel free to bring your own snowshoes or rent ours. Some snowshoes are available to use for free, however check for availability when registering. Approximately a two mile hike through unbroken snow, intermediate level of difficulty. Meet at the Contact Station.
Hartwick Pines State Park is located at 4216 Ranger Rd. in Grayling. For more information on the programs at Hartwick Pines, please call 989-348-2537. There is no charge for the snowshoe hikes; however a Recreation Passport is required for park entry.
