Antique Tractor & Engine Show – On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, August 6, 7 & 8 the Wellington Antique Tractor and Engine Club will host its annual Tractor and Engine Show at the living history farm near Grayling. A great outing for the entire family! Lots of antique tractors to see, demonstrations of threshing, silo filling and saw milling will be on going daily. A 3:00 p.m. each afternoon there will be a Big Machinery Parade. There will be games and tractor pulls for the children and tractor driving contests for the parents. Each day of the show will be filled with activities from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
Though the Tractor Show Grounds will be “Where it’s at!” the rest of the 60-acre living history farm will be up and running also. Stroll Crafter’s Alley and watch as rugs are woven, brooms are wound and baskets are created. Watch the blacksmith form pieces of iron into useful tools. Watch as the miller grinds wheat and barley into flour to be used in the Summer Kitchen. He may be grinding corn meal also which may be used to make corn bred or corn fritters. An enjoyable and educational day for the entire family can be had at Tractor and Engine Show at Wellington Farm USA.
Wellington Farm USA is a 60-acre living history complex depicting life as it was lived in a Midwestern farming community during the Great Depression. The historical complex is open from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Sunday hours are from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
Wellington Farm, USA is located at 6944 S. Military Road southwest of Grayling. The farm is easily accessed from either Exit 251 of I-75 or Exi206 of US-127.
