Snowmobile trails are being groomed and are in good shape, with the additional 6-8 inches of snow we received from the last storm. Sections of trail are snirty, and conditions will deteriorate with heavy weekend traffic. Groomer drivers are reporting the best conditions of the year. As always, watch out for two groomers/tractors running close behind one another…sometimes they run in tandem.

Snowmobile Fun Run event to benefit the AuSable Valley Animal Shelter, Saturday, February 12th at 11am – $25 Donation/Entry Fee includes lunch at Dingmans, commemorative t-shirt (while supplies last), trail map, prizes, dinner & a party @ the Ole Barn…plus the satisfaction that YOU made a difference for the homeless animals!  Registration begins at 11:00 a.m. at Dingmans (on M-72 in Kalkaska, PH# 231-258-4122). Lunch will be provided at time of check-in.  Route: Start out at Dingmans & take a leisure ride to the other hosts establishments, & end at the Ole Barn for dinner, dancing, prizes & fun!
