Mother Nature dealt snowmobilers and winter lovers in general a blow for New Years, 40 degree temperatures pretty much eliminated any snow on the trails and in the woods.  Hopefully that was Northern Michigan’s winter melt for this year.  At the writing of this newsletter Grayling and Crawford County has just received roughly 6 inches of new snow with more and colder temperatures in the forecast.  Currently we have roughly 10 inches of snow on the ground.  Keep the snow dances going!

Elections results – At the General Membership meeting January 6, 2011 Rich Filley, Rob Tomlinson and Bill Weaver were re-elected to the board.

Trail Updates – AVSA is grooming on regular bases and riders are finding riding pretty good.  The AVSA groomer drivers have put in over 300 hours prepping our 87 miles of trails for everyone’s riding enjoyment.

General Membership Meetings– Our next General Membership Meeting will be on Thursday, February 3rd at the Ramada Inn of Grayling starting at 7: pm.  Our meetings are open to anyone who wishes to attend.
