Forbush Corner:  This Friday (Feb 4th) is open mic night at the Thanks A latte’ Coffee Shop from 6 to 8 pm.  The coffee shop is located inside the world headquarters for Flowers by Josie in downtown Grayling.  Always lots of talent. A week from this Saturday, Red Green will be performing at Kirtland College outside Roscommon.  Let me know if you are interested and perhaps we can get a group to attend.
Thursday, Feb 3, 8:30 am 8 deg f.  Bright sun now but expecting blowing snow this morning and tomorrow.  That is an ok situation as it will fill in the recently tilled areas and result in an increase in snow mass over the track area….that is in most cases.  It can also be a problem where snow is already light but there are only a few places like that. Possiblility of snow thru the week. Should be as good as it gets this weekend.

Hanson Hills: We received 8 inches of new snow…with drifts up to 24 inches on some parts of the trail. All trails will be groomed and conditions should be great for the weekend. Don’t forget, this weekend is Winter Fun Days. For more info…www.hansonhills.org

XC Ski Headquarters: As it turned out we received over 10 inches of fresh snow from Tuesday night’s winter storm. Groomer Greg and groomer Brian spent many hours packing and grooming the trails yesterday and the results are extraordinary. All trails except the Blizzard and Manitou Trails have freshly set tracks and freshly snowcombed skating lanes. The Manitou and Blizzard trails will be packed and Ginzu groomed this morning. Great X-C skiing conditions prevail.
