From Forbush Corner:
Friday, Dec 10, 8 am 23 deg g, overcast.  Gained a few more inches last night and it is a little more like “real” snow.  The temps are expected to stay below freezing for the weekend and there is a chance of drizzle.  This is a good thing when the temps are cold.   It is just what all this lake effect needs to add some body to it.  They are also calling for snow thru the weekend.  The gusty winds should only be a problem in the parking lot and immediately around the building.  The trails are well sheltered with trees and so the wind should not be an issue.  There is also “real” snow in the forecast!

The exisiting snow should be able to handle the plating and so the guess is that it will be quite nice skating, a shallow plate set track, and the ability to use your good skis on some of the trails.  Probably be able to use your good skis on all of the trails by the end of the weekend.

Open Saturday and Sunday at about 9 (grooming dependent :) .
