First of all…if conditions don’t change drastically, I won’t be updating this site again until Monday. If some major change occurs, I will of course post it. Secondly…Merry Christmas! (or if you don’t celebrate Christmas, then Happy Holidays!)

Forbush Corner: Thursday, Dec 23, 9 am, 25 deg with a high of 27.  Gained a light dusting yesterday and again last night.  Calling for a wintry mix today.  Love it!  This is usually a combination of snow, drizzle, ….high moisture in any case.  With the high of only 27, it should be an ideal grooming material.  Assuming it comes “as ordered”, I will leave it set today (let it chill down) and then groom it tomorrow. Hoping to have the grooming completed by 1 pm tomorrow (Friday).  If you would like to ski tomorrow afternoon or Christmas Day after 1 pm, we will be open. Also open everyday of the week thru New Year’s weekend. Sounds like an ideal weekend and week (so far) with temps in the twenties every day and occas. snow.

XC Ski Headquarters: Groomer Greg rolled in fresh tracks yesterday with the Finnish made LatueXpert Trackmakes. What a perfect invention for these conditions.Tracks are set on all the trails and all trails have their skating lanes snowcombed. Ski conditions are very good.

Hanson Hills: All trails are groomed and open for skate skiing.  Receiving Light Snow. Still not enough for set track. Open for downhill skiing.

FYI: The Mason Tract Pathway will not be groomed this year due to DNR budget cut-backs.
