The Grayling Fish Hatchery is offering a buy one/get one free ticket for adults from July 22-25. The standard adult ticket cost is $3 per person. Located on North Down River Road in Grayling, Michigan, the hatchery is open from noon until 6:00 p.m. daily.Over 5,000 trout swim in the ponds of the Grayling Fish Hatchery.

Part of the fun of visiting the hatchery is watching the water churn as the greedy trout fight for their share of the fish food which can be purchased for a small donation. The thousands of brook, brown and rainbow trout range from 2 1/2 to 28 inches in length.

Catching trout in one of the ponds is also permitted for a reasonable fee. Once a fine trout producer for the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, then closed for many years, the hatchery was reopened by the Grayling Recreation Authority. The hatchery is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day, daily from noon to 6 pm: admission is $3.00 for adults, $2.00 for children 5-12, children under 5 are admitted free.
