Wellington Farm, USA near Grayling has planned two major events to take place between now and Christmas. The first is a fund-raiser designed to raise money to complete the restoration of the historic Stittsville Church and provide area families with a very unique outing. The second is Wellington’s traditional “Farm By Lantern Light” Christmas Production.
For three weekends following Thanksgiving, Wellington Farm, USA will offer a unique family outing especially for the Christmas Season. Families will have an opportunity to ride through the historic farm complex on a hayride, stop at the Summer Kitchen for hot cider or hot chocolate and pick out their Christmas tree from a natural, woodland setting, just like they did in 1932. Prices of the trees range from $35 to $55 depending upon the size and variety of tree. This event will be held on Fridays from 3 to 5 p.m., on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sundays from 1 to 5 p.m. All money raised from the sale of trees will be used to restore the interior of the Stittsville Church. Before they depart from the farm, participants will have an opportunity to view the interior of the church.
