Description: Portland Taiko, an award-winning Asian American drumming ensemble, weaves rhythm, melody, and movement into an exhilarating musical experience that combines traditional and contemporary compositions and choreography. Its innovative and provocative Taiko creations have their roots in Japanese tradition, religious ceremonies, community festivals and theater.
