I love the look of colored metal, especially enameled. Unfortunately enameling takes some special tools like torches and or kilns plus a bit of time for the process. I’ve recently discovered a much simpler way of getting the same effects by simply painting on a unique permanent color system more often used for glass. In the sample here I cut a circle of metal, domed it, colored it, then hung it from my earring top.
This class will teach you how to use color on metal, silver, aluminum, nickel, and other metals to create lovely little pieces of art. You’ll also learn wire making skills to turn your metal and wire in artisan earrings.
You will leave withat least 2 pairs of earrings and skills to make many more. No experience necessary. All tools and materials will be provided, but feel free to bring along any jewelry tools or beads you already own. We’ll do our best to incorporate them in your pieces. Bring a ruler, a Sharpie (any color), paper, and pen or pencil.
