Have you ever been curious about clay and the processes involved in making pottery?  This is an opportunity for an introduction to the medium.  Learn about clay, how it feels, processes involved, a little background and technical information, and a hands-on experience creating beads, pottery stamps, and decorative tiles.
THE INSTRUCTOR: Local pottery artist Carole Meier has been involved in the arts and art shows for over thirty years.  Her studio, Bear Lake Pottery, is located west of Grayling on M-72.  Carole volunteers and displays her work at the AuSable Artisan Village Gallery.
Tools and supplies to make pottery stamps, a couple of tiles, and beads for your finished pieces will be provided by the instructor and are included in the class fee.  There is no need to bring anything unless you want to take notes.
The Class consists of 3 sessions:  March 7th, 14th and 21st. from 6-8 PM.  The cost for the three classes is $50.
