From artist Nancy Cornett…I’m a metal worker and jewelry maker who has recently added etching to my skills, and I’m hooked!  Come join me to learn the ancient art of metal etching to make copper jewelry. Draw your own simple designs by hand and use stamps (ink pad type) to experiment with different images. Then we’ll fabricate your etched copper pieces into fabulous jewelry.

No experience necessary. All tools and materials will be provided.  This is a two day class.  You’ll leave with (at least) one pair of earrings and one necklace, along with ideas to make many more.
The Instructor: Ms. Cornett is a local jewelry and metal artist, teacher, and owner of Au Sable Designs. Her jewelry and a tutorial have been published in Wire Jewelry magazine, can be seen at the Au Sable Artisan Village Gallery in Grayling as well as in her online shop at www.ausabledesigns.etsy.com
You will need to bring a ruler, NEW black Sharpee fine point marker, unlined paper, pencil, plastic/latex gloves.
Class fee is $45 plus $15 for materials.
April 14 and April 21, 1-4pm
