“The JOY of the Image” workshop will be presented at the Grayling Elementary School on Thursday, October 27, 7-9pm. The instructor, Ken Wright, will provide you with suggestions and ideas that will make your photographic images stand out. Mr. Wright is a professional photographer whose award-winning works have been displayed on various locations in Northern Michigan.
By signing up for “The JOY of the Image”, you will be taking a big step toward becoming a better photographer. This class is for photographers of every experience level, from beginner to professional. No matter what kind of camera you use, you will learn tricks and tips to help you use it to its best advantage. We will look at and discuss several “point and shoot” models and the features to consider when making a camera purchase.
We will discuss in detail the three basic photographic guidelines and the techniques in each guideline that you will use to make your photos stand out. You will learn how to look at each subject you photograph with a “Lens Eye”, and apply your newly learned techniques to each image.
A handout booklet is provided listing all of the guidelines and techniques displayed and discussed. We’ll look at screen images that show by example the application of each technique. And, you will see photos from some prior students that use the techniques taught in this class.
