Ken Wright, a fine art photographer and co-owner of the gallery featuring “Michigan’s foremost nature-inspired art” said, “Kim Diment and I are proud of this gallery. Some of the finest nature artists we know have chosen to display their work with us. This will be a great opportunity for people to come in and not just see their work, but to meet the artists too.” He continued, “Some will be demonstrating the methods they use to create their work and others will be available to describe what they do and their passion for their work.”
Among those demonstrating will be Roger Smith, a bronze sculptor; Karla Kirkland, who specializes in soft sculpture, but uses many media in her work; and Kim Diment, co-owner of the gallery, whose wildlife paintings have kept her in the forefront of the international art world.
Refreshments will be offered, and everyone is invited to come in and see the nature inspired art of more than a dozen outstanding artists from Michigan.
Artists in attendance for the event will be Ken Wright, Kim Diment, Karla Kirkland, Jackie House, Rod Lawrence, Carl Schubert, Roger Smith and Peter Czuk.
Main Branch Gallery, named for the nearby river that earned for Grayling designation in Forbes magazine as one of the top 10 fly fishing destinations in North America, is distinctive and intimate, yet friendly and welcoming, “even if people are just browsing,” said Wright. “We love for people to see what we have here.”
