Uptown Grayling will be all aglow and filled with the holiday spirit when The Christmas Walk welcomes the Holiday Season on Saturday, November 19, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. To kick off the start of the festivities, Santa will be arriving in town during the World’s Shortest Parade. Santa will be available after the parade to chat with the children and hear their fondest wishes. Businesses host entertainment, offer refreshments or set up special Christmas displays and in-store specials for your enjoyment.
Michelson Memorial United Methodist Church is presenting a Living Nativity from 6:00-8:00 p.m. The Crawford County Museum will be open for a taste of history and The Watershed Art Project will be sponsoring a Juried Art Exhibition.
A trolley will be available to drive visitors to the Grayling Mini Mall to view the “Festival of Trees”. Carriage rides around town will be offered for a nominal fee.

Festivities Include:
- Breakfast w/ Santa from 9am–12 noon at the American Legion – Arts & crafts, silent auction & pictures with Santa (5/person or $20/family of up to 6).
- Live reindeer, pony rides & pictures with Santa all day at North Country Corner. (trolley stop)
- Chili, hot dogs, nachos, hot cocoa & coffee will be available at North Country Corner. Grayling Jr. Eagles will also be there selling S’mores fixins-in-a-bag (portable fire pit available for making S’mores). (trolley stop)
- Crawford County Historical Museum will be decorated for Christmas and offering tours, and serving cider and cookies from 3–8pm.
- Festival of Trees will be on display from 10am–7pm (Nov 12 – 20) at the Grayling Mini Mall. (trolley stop)
- Grand Opening of Northbound Outfitters & Cross Country Ski Shop’s new location on M-72 West from
10am–7pm (Nov 19 & 20). (trolley stop on Nov 19) - Holiday Buyers Art Expo from 11am–8pm at the AuSable Artisan Village Art Center (Nov 18 – 20).
- Christmas Musical Show at 1pm at the Rialto (by donation only).
- A FREE Children’s Christmas Movie at 3pm at the Rialto.
- Mercy Hospital Window Shoppe will have face painting, ornament decorating, refreshments and an adorable teacup pig visiting from Mercy Manor from 3–8pm. (trolley stop)
- Meet the Artist – Wildlife Bronze Artist Roger Smith from 3–8pm at the Main Branch Gallery.
- Cookie Walk from 4–8pm at Michelson Memorial United Methodist Church.
- Christmas stories, crafts, cookie decorating & a plethora of penguins at Devereaux Library from 5–8pm. (trolley stop)
- Christmas Parade at 5pm on Michigan Avenue.
- Live Nativity at Michelson Memorial United Memorial Church following the parade until 8pm.
- Stores around town will also be open during the Christmas Walk for shopping.
Trolley rides will be available to take you around town from 3-8pm and will makes stops along Michigan Avenue, the Grayling Mini Mall for the “Festival of Trees”, North Country Corner, Northbound Outfitters for their Grand Opening, Devereaux Memorial Library and the Mercy Hospital Window Shoppe.
