On the weekend following the opening of deer season (this year it’s November 20th) downtown Grayling, Michigan will come alive with the annual Christmas Walk, a thirty-two year tradition. It is a time when the merchants show off their merchandise with special displays and entertain the public with music and refreshments.  The AuSable Artisan Village (formerly Watershed Art Project) is again hosting a juried fine art exhibition. Nearly a thousand people will come through the doors for this event.

Awards for the show will fall into the following categories and amounts:

  1. $250 Best of 2-D which will include paintings of all media
  2. $250 Best of Photography
  3. $250 Best of 3-D which will include ceramics, sculpture, fine wood working/carving and other 3-D works;
  4. $250 Best of Fiber Art, which will include weaving, tapestry, baskets, etc.
  5. Youth Art Award for artists under the age of 18, or still in high school, recipient will receive a $50 gift certificate for art supplies.
